September 19th, 2011 at 12:03 pm
Yeah, where is the link? It was much easier to find before the site redesign!
From your previous blogpost, I have this link: http://www.trillian.im/get/windows/beta/ but it still gives me Build 8.
September 19th, 2011 at 12:04 pm
So, here’s a direct link to this release: http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/trillian-v5.1.0.9.exe

Build 9 seems to be cancelled, so the spreading is blocked currently. No download link, no automatic update.
September 19th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
Apparently, revealed a critical error.
September 19th, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Docking on a dual screen monitor does not work. The contact list still covers any desktop gadgets in Windows 7. I can edit the buddy.ini file and change Docked=1 and it will work for a while, but will reset if I re-size the contact list window.

How can I do this.
13327 Scott Werndorfer FIXED [TWITTER] Native retweet as the default option
Says again sometimes too long, cause it is, but for a “native Retweet” i should work, like on the twitter website. Hope you can implement it soon. Best choice I think 2 option “Native RT” and ” Edit RT” or sth like this. I Know you know what i mean Thank you guys – I Love Trillian

Skype still not working for me, Trillian just hangs and becomes non-responsive when plugin tries to connect. Back to 5.1.0.7 yet again. How disappointing!
September 20th, 2011 at 1:12 am
oh wait, after full uninstall, delete folders, reboot, full install and reboot again, Skype connected.
No longer disappointed

I hoped that this release would fix another bug but it doesn’t. Has anybody else this issue, too?
When you use the new Skype integration, so when you make a call to somebody, you can choose the desired audio device in two menues at the right top corner of the chat window. I have an onboard audio card and also a USB headset. With the last one I want to make my calls, the first one I want to use apart from that as my default audio device. So when I choose my headset in these two menues it has no effect! Trillian always uses the audio device which is defined as the default one in the system settings of Windows (in my case XP pro).
Is this really a bug or is this a computer related problem. In any other programs that uses audio devices I have no similar problems at all!

Only Twitter is working, everything else is completely dead (Astra, Google Talk, Facebook and Skype).
September 20th, 2011 at 1:55 am
Yes!!! Everything works fine for me at the moment…. Jehaaaa ^^
September 20th, 2011 at 2:08 am
@Terepin: Not really. everything is working fine here. You should ask in the Forum for help to your problem. Maybe you just have to turn the plugins on?
September 20th, 2011 at 2:13 am
OK, false alarm. skypekit.exe has been stuck in memory. Again.
But Trillian asks for FB password after every start.
September 20th, 2011 at 5:02 am
Now everything seems to be working I had to restart my pc
September 20th, 2011 at 6:30 am
Google talk’s online people are not appearing in the contacts list.

Skype works fine for me with 5.1 Beta 10.
Thanks for fixing the issues with the conversations and message window.
A pause-button for the next Beta would be great tho. So I can pause one conversation and join another and talk to people.

@ Terepin:
“But Trillian asks for FB password after every start.”
If you have Win Vista or Win7 start trillian once with admin-rights and login to FB. That should store the password and you don’t have to type it in everytime you start trillian.

So hey, Skyplet is not working under windows 8, but skype itself was just updated for it… timetable on compatibility in trillian?

Hi, can u please fix problem with sending font tag via icq? Too much friends tells me, that they receives font tag only from me, and this problem starts after i install new 5.1 beta version. Its also in last beta 10 version. I want to use this beta, because i want skype in trillian without original skype. Thanks!
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:29 am
@TF:
The newest trillian does not require skype (it is independent from that).

Regarding 5.1 Beta 10 …
One BUG and two missing Feature
BUG: Looking into the Chat History of a Skype contact reveals that, for example, a ‘ is shown as apos; (the HTML-ish & at the beginning is not being displayed). Seems the stored chat history isn’t properly converted into “plain text”.
Missing Feature 1:
Especially with Skype it is _VERY_ annoying that I cannot recall the last message sent for editing. Would be great if we could have this, rather simple, feature.
Missing Feature 2:
Seems as there’s no way to edit the Skype Profile; that’s also rather troublesome if I would want to change anything.
Apart from that 5.1.0.10 works rather smootly.
On a related note: How about putting a “send feedback” option into at least Beta Test versions so one can easily send a problem report?

BUG: When someone calls me and I’m not here to pick up they hang up no their end but it will continue to ring on my end until I either close Trillian or call them back.
September 26th, 2011 at 5:52 am
Wow. Start Button, Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Skype *le click*, Yes, *le click*.
Thank you Trillian Team.
